The IGS UK Chapter will resume its social activities with a swing next month.
Its annual golf day will see geosynthetics professionals take on a challenging 18-hole course in York, England, on September 3rd.
The golf day has been running for more than a decade and has attracted as many as 10 teams in the past. Corporate sponsors are able to bring clients, and friendly rivalry is encouraged during a Four Ball Stableford contest.
Organizer Andy Cracknell said: “The pandemic has had an impact on our event planning, but I feel this is an important day that I wanted to keep running. We have six teams confirmed, and will be maintaining social distancing throughout.”
