Online (Zoom): Click here to enter the lecture OverviewIn 2012, the International Standards Organisation Technical Committee 221 resolved to develop international design standards for geosynthetics. Working Group 6, Design Using Geosynthetics, was created, convened by Derek Smith.
Ten years later, the preparation of a series of ten Technical Reports (TR18228-1 to TR18228-10) is nearing completion, with six of them already published.
This presentation will explain the objectives of this project, the development process, the challenges experienced and pick up on some of the key points that the Technical Reports have delivered. It will also explore what might happen next.
