The use of soil reinforcement to create retaining walls and steep slopes is the best known and documented area of geosynthetics. For many sites however the assumption is that this will mean a well graded granular fill material or a specific face finish. This presentation will look at the wider range of fill materials which can be used to provide greater cost and environmental benefits and the huge range of aesthetic finishes achievable with proper detailing and quality construction.
