IGS UK Chapter & European Association of Geosynthetic Manufacturers (EAGM)
“COMPARATIVE LCA OF GEOSYNTHETICS versus CONVENTIONAL CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS”
On behalf of the European Association of Geosynthetic product Manufacturers (EAGM) a study was presented with 4 comparisons of conventional constructions in comparison with geosynthetic constructions. In this study the impact of nine impact category indicators for e.g. Cumulative Energy Demand (CED) was compared for both construction technologies (conventional vs. geosynthetic).
Similar work was done by different Manufactures for other cases and one more example will be presented.
